From Abandoned to Adored: Pregnant Dog Finds a Safe Haven in a Caring Stranger’s Garden

In July, my friend discovered an exhausted pregnant dog hiding in her garden. The dog, who we later named Mother Mae, was about 8.5 weeks pregnant and had clearly been abandoned by her previous owner. After taking her to the vet, we were relieved to discover that Mae was in good health.

However, Mae was scared and restless in our shelter, clearly distressed by her surroundings.

With a huge belly and difficulty breathing, the vet predicted that Mae would give birth in the next 24-48 hours. So, we stayed by her side to give her the support and love she desperately needed.

After sharing Mae’s story on Tiktok, the video went viral and we received an outpouring of love and support from around the world. Mae’s story touched the hearts of many, and we were overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of strangers who wanted to help.

Despite Mae’s nervousness, she gave birth to 9 healthy puppies just 32 hours after we first discovered her.

It was a moment of pure joy and amazement to see her little ones, so cute and innocent, sleeping and nursing. Mae was a proud and loving mother, doing her best to care for her puppies, despite the challenges of her new life.

As the days went by, Mae’s puppies grew quickly, exploring the world around them and playing with anything they could get their paws on. Mae proved to be a fighter, always protecting her little ones and showing them the love they deserved.

In time, the puppies were old enough to be adopted, and we found loving homes for all of them.

Mae, too, found her forever home with me and my family. She had become a part of our family, and we loved her dearly for the strength and resilience she had shown.

Mae’s story is a reminder of the importance of kindness and compassion, and the incredible bond between humans and animals. Despite the hardships she faced, Mae never gave up, and her little ones have grown into happy and healthy dogs. We will always be grateful for the love and joy they brought into our lives, and we will never forget the courage and strength of Mother Mae.
