The native of New York has already collaborated on hit duets with Flo Milli, Latto, GloRilla, Megan Thee Stallion, and many other celebrities.

The hip-hop artist, who has collaborated with artists like Bruno Mars and Maroon 5, has admitted that she lacks the confidence to approach some of her favorite male artists to sing with her on a song because she gets “starstruck” quickly and worries about coming across as “corny.”

She stated, “When female artists are rising, you don’t have to put one down because the others are rising,” in an interview with Billboard in 2020. Whenever a female rapper makes an appearance, people want to start fictitious feuds.

“Perhaps because people don’t get to see me [with other women] as much as they would like to.” To be honest with you, the problem is that I’m shy. I’m incredibly shy to reach out to male artists. I’m afraid to seek out, which is why I haven’t received many of the collaborations I want. Every time, I get a little starry-eyed. Even if I’m amusing, I think I’m cheesy.

The mother of two also acknowledged that when she performs songs that highlight her romantic relationships and feelings, she feels humiliated.

She responded, “Kinda sorta, but then again, when it comes to me writing or putting ideas of my personal life [into the music], I get really shy,” when asked if she was able to get more personal on her upcoming second studio album.

“I usually close my eyes when I perform songs like Be Careful or Ring because I get really shy about displaying my romantic side.” I begin to laugh even at my engineer. “Oh, my God, I can’t,” I exclaim. This is really awkward.”
