There are many reasons why keeping a wild animal in captivity is wrong. They experience both physical and mental effects, and even lose their maternal instincts as a result.
This causes the pups to be rejected soon after birth. Unfortunately, the wild instincts of these animals do not return even after they have been saved.
A young lioness living in a Russian nature park experienced it. Everyone was understandably delighted that Sirona was about to give birth to her first child.
However, things did not turn out as expected shortly after Sirona’s two cute pups were born.
When it came to the young mother, the lioness’s maternal instincts did not act as expected. Worse yet, she showed no compassion to her newborn babies and even seemed to reject them outright.
Park staff were aware of how important it is for newborn cubs to remain with their mothers after birth, but realized they had to take action in this case.
They made the decision to relocate the children as they were in real danger. However, they were all aware of how slim their prospects for survival were.
They were lucky enough to receive some unexpected help from another park resident. Sandra, the German shepherd, has lived there since she was a puppy, despite not being a wild animal.
She became everyone’s best friend due to her caring personality. Her keepers decided to give her a chance and entrust the puppies to the compassionate dog. And everyone was stunned by the beautiful Sandra!
The adorable German Shepherd treated the two puppies like her own children and immediately adopted them. She gives them food and takes care of them.
Sandra gives her own milk to the little lions because she has her own litter. The two abandoned pups apparently get the comfort they want from their foster mom, and it saved their lives.
